The facts

  1. Renfe’s published minimums are 75% of normal commuter services at peak times and 50% otherwise, 65% of medium-distance trains, 73% of high-speed/long-distance services and 26% of freight. These are required service levels, not measured cancellation totals. [1]

  2. Cadena SER reported, citing Renfe, that 56 of 59 planned Valencia commuter trains ran by 09:00, with three C-1 services cancelled. Two high-speed/long-distance services serving Valencia were also cancelled. [2]

  3. The strike runs from 00:01 to 23:59 local time. It was called on 16 October over safety and employment commitments, before the 28 October Urda collision. [2]
