The facts
A bomb-threat alert was reported aboard LOT flight LO286 from London Heathrow to Warsaw. The Boeing 737 MAX landed at Warsaw-Modlin at 10:01 a.m. local time with 181 people aboard, according to the airport statement quoted by Reuters and local reporting. [1][2]
Modlin halted operations after the landing. Miejski Reporter said passengers began leaving the aircraft at about 10:52 a.m. local time and were directed to the arrivals hall while checks continued; the airport remained closed at that point. [2]
A separate alert led to checks of SAS flight SK751 from Copenhagen after it landed at Warsaw Chopin. Reuters reported the airport continued operating; Miejski Reporter said the response at the aircraft ended at about 11:40 a.m. local time. [1][2]
Sky News and AFP reported that authorities found no explosive device on either aircraft. Modlin reopened after checks; AFP said airport operations returned to normal, and Sky reported no device was found at Chopin. [3][4]
Still unconfirmed
- Whether any explosive device was found, what caused either alert, and whether the two incidents were connected.
